The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines provides vocational training in the broad range of alcoholic beverages to underpin job skills and competencies in the customer service and sales functions of the hospitality, retail, and wholesale industries. This introductory level class is ideal for wine enthusiasts in Central Texas who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of wines and spirits and want to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification.

We are thrilled to have our beloved Taco Poet, Eddie Vega returning to Ursa at Branch on High for the quarterly reading. Vega is a poet, storyteller, spoken word artist, and educator. There will be poems, stories, perhaps a song from the talented Poet Laureate of San Antonio. Can you smell the tamales? Can you hear the laughter? Come join us! Books will be available for purchase and signing. We hope to see you there!

All Bending Branch wine club members are invited to pick up their wines at the December club release party. The event will take place at the winery from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees will enjoy wine tasting, tamales, and live music from The Flyin’ A’s. This is a come and go event. Mystery cases will be available at the party!

The party is complimentary for members and up to two guests. Members must register on Eventbrite. Maximum 4 tickets per membership. Look for the registration link in your December club email.

The Holiday Winemaker Dinner will feature 6 Texas Hill Country Winery Members and a thoughtfully curated menu from culinary team at Hill + Vine. Amongst owners, winemakers and special representatives from Westcave Cellars, Longhorn Cellars, Wine for the People, Hilmy Cellars, Bending Branch Winery, and Farmhouse Vineyard you will enjoy a night of culinary excellence with an impressive coursed menu perfectly paired with some of the Texas Hill Country’s finest wines.
