On Saturday, September 28, from 5:30-9 pm, come celebrate the Tastes and Treasures of the Texas Hill Country at The Ironwood Barn at The Von Erich Ranch. The beautiful, climate-controlled barn creates the ultimate ambiance for Comfort Public Library's primary fundraising event. Join us for an evening of Hill Country Wine in San Antonio!  Texas Hill Country Wineries is bringing 27 wineries and 60+ wines from the Hill Country to the Dominion Country Club for an evening tasting experience.  Come meet winery personalities including owners, winemakers, vineyard managers and more.

Guests will experience Texas Hill Country wines at a walk-around tasting from 5:30-8pm featuring hand picked wines from each participating winery.  You'll learn about what's happening in the vineyard, taste new wines and meet the heart and soul behind the Texas wineries right in your backyard.

We are excited to host our first Malbec vertical tasting featuring Cherokee Rose Vineyard. Farmed by the Durden family, Cherokee Rose is a single-variety vineyard located in Comfort, just nine miles away from Bending Branch Winery. Since 2017, Bending Branch has made Malbec from Cherokee Rose’s 4.2-acre vineyard. Their Hill Country Malbec is a club member and staff favorite, especially when it has been bottled under the reserve label. Meet the growers at this guided event, and enjoy a tasting of six wines, including two from the barrel. The event will be held in the barrel room at Bending Branch Winery. Charcuterie will accompany the tasting.
